Responce to Thank you Ma'am

Author's note: I was assigned a writing piece about Thanks Ma'am and I decided to write about how  Roger felt during when he met the lady.

In the story Thank you Ma'am Roger probably felt many different feelings throughout this time. He could have felt sad, frustrated, or even scared.

In the beginning of the story we see that the boy was a bit of a thief and he tried to steal the woman's purse. but then something unexpected happened and he fell down and the woman caught him. Instead of turning him in she took him to her house and told him to wash his face. at this point the boy was most likely surprised but also anxious and wanted to run away.

Surprisingly when he saw the door open he didn't run, he went to the sink. At this point I think he was actually turning around and wanted to be trusted by this woman be cause she was probably the only one who cared about him. Then to top it off she said that instead of stealing her pocketbook he could have asked for the money to get what he wanted to buy. This probably made him very happy because he didn't have to steal the money and feel guilty when ever he saw the shoes. Finally when he left he probably felt loved and thankful of the woman for helping him. I know I would feel that way.
