General Custer
George Armstrong Custer was a General during the civil war. He lead the Union army to many victories. He also had many nicknames like "The boy General" and "Iron butt". He was probably the best general of the civil war because of all of the battles he won.
The reason he won so many battle was because of his strategy. The plan was to scout out the battlefield and then he would attack the weaknesses and the strengths of the opponent then when he was satisfied he would perform a Michigan yell and would surprise the enemy. From his troops impression of him he also earned a few nicknames.
He had 2 nicknames that he got during his time in the civil war. "The Boy General" was one of the nicknames he had and it was because he earned the brigadier status at only 23. Then his other nickname was Iron butt and he was named this because of his physical stamina when riding on a saddle and his strictness.
Over all I think General Custer was one of the best Generals of the civil war and we wouldn't have won without him. And it's a good thing too because then we would still have slavery and that would be horrible.
